1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading or using VibeEchoes ("the App"), these terms will automatically apply to you. You should make sure therefore that you read them carefully before using the App. You are not allowed to copy or modify the App, any part of the App, or our trademarks in any way.

2. Description of Service

VibeEchoes provides a journaling service that utilizes artificial intelligence to discover meaningful connections ("Echoes") between your journal entries and:

• Other users: Anonymous people whose journal entries share similar themes and emotions. Identity is never shared without explicit mutual consent.
• Music: Song lyrics that resonate with your thoughts.
• Film: Movie dialogue that mirrors your feelings.
• Literature: Literary passages that echo your ideas.

The App also provides an Insights Map for visualizing your emotional patterns, Echo Collections for organizing saved matches, and an optional AI Edit feature for polishing journal entries.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App in any way that:

• Violates any national or international law or regulation.
• Harasses, abuses, or harms another person.
• Attempts to deanonymize, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the double-blind privacy mechanisms of the matching system.
• Uses the AI Edit feature to generate content that is harmful, deceptive, or violates the rights of others.
• Systematically scrapes, copies, or redistributes content from echoed music lyrics, film dialogue, or literary passages beyond personal use within the App.

4. Auto-Renewing Subscriptions

VibeEchoes offers Premium features accessible via auto-renewing subscriptions ("Premium Subscription"). By selecting a Premium Subscription, you agree to the following terms:

• Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase.
• Renewal: Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscriptions by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase.
• Standard Apple EULA: In addition to these terms, your use of the application is governed by the standard Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Apple Standard EULA).

Premium features include:

• Unlimited daily people matches (free users receive up to 3 per day)
• Priority Matching — get matched before free users
• Match on Demand — request new matches anytime
• AI Edit — polish your journal entries with AI-powered editing
• Echo Collections — save and organize your favorite matches
• Insights Map — a visual map of your emotional patterns over time

Feature availability may change. We will provide notice before removing any existing Premium feature.

5. User-Generated Content

You retain full ownership of all text and data you input into VibeEchoes. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process this data solely for the purpose of providing the resonance matching, journaling, and AI editing services directly to you, as detailed in our Privacy Policy.

When you use the AI Edit feature, your journal entry text is sent to Google's Gemini model to generate suggestions. You retain full ownership of both your original text and any AI-generated edits you choose to accept. AI suggestions are provided "as is" and may not always be accurate or appropriate — you are responsible for reviewing and approving any changes before saving.

6. Third-Party Content

Outbound links to services such as Spotify, Apple Music, IMDb, and Amazon are provided as a convenience. These third-party services are governed by their own terms and conditions. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of any third-party service.

7. Disclaimers

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the App's availability, accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

• AI-generated content: AI Edit suggestions and semantic matching results are generated algorithmically and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unexpected outputs. We do not guarantee the quality, appropriateness, or accuracy of any AI-generated content.
• Matching accuracy: Echo matches — whether with other users, music, film, or literature — are based on semantic similarity and may not always reflect your intent or preferences.
• Data availability: While we employ industry-standard security including end-to-end encryption, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to the App or absolute security of your data.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VibeEchoes and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to damages for loss of data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms of Use. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. You may request deletion of your data at any time as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update our Terms of Use from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms of Use on this page. Significant changes will be communicated via the App or email.
